It was a day of jubilation and celebration as our undefeated U11A Whales took home the double as they beat Currimundi Barracudas 3-0 in their Grand Final match up while our U16/17 Galaxy beat the premiers, Caloundra 2-1 in a fantastic comeback win to take home the Championship. Both teams taking home deserved victories and memories which will last a lifetime!

It was an early 8:30am start for the Whales and they got off to an early start netting all 3 of their goals during the first half including 1 goal during the 1st minute to settle the nerves. In complete control they pushed for more but couldn't find the net again. The 2nd half came and the Whales were in cruise control defending effortlessly and continuing to pile on the pressure. Full Time came around and the result of 3-0 meant they could celebrate the double. They became both Premiers and Champions (the first team at MSC to do the double in the 'top division').

A 4pm kick off for our Galaxy meant a whole day of nerves and excitement. The premiers, Caloundra Black were all that stood in the way of the Championship which they were agonisingly close to in 2024. A quick start for Caloundra saw them hold a 1-0 lead for majority of the first half. Right before half time we were able to find the goal we'd been looking for and went into half time at 1-1. A strong team talk from Jamie and the Galaxy were back out for the 2nd half looking for another way through. Chances went both ways before we found the net to give us the crucial goal for 2-1. Riding out the rest of the game was tense as felt by the large amount of support that was at the game for MSC. The fulltime whistle blew and it was another Grand Final win for Mooloolaba and jubilation for the Galaxy.

Also on the day, our Men's Prawns were defeated 2-0 in their Kevy Cup grand final against a hungry Chancellor Rangers team. We'll be back in 2026 to challenge for the cup once again.
