U11 - U17
Teams within these age groups play for points in league matches followed by finals at the end of the year. Matches are played in an 11v11 format on a regular sized field. This means each match is an opportunity for players to experience competitive match minutes in a format they will play for the rest of their footballing journey. We stress the fact that winning should not be the primary goal for our coaches but instead providing a playing environment which is positive, fosters learning, and allows players to express themselves.
Often we find these go hand in hand!
KEY POINTS TO REMEMBER

Equal Opportunity
We encourage coaches to provide equal opportunity to all players. This does not necessarily mean everybody has equal time but instead means players who regularly show up to trainings, games, events, etc. should be given game time relative to their commitment to the team. We believe players should be rewarded for their commitment to their team

Coach to Develop
We know winning feels amazing but we also know that players value the opportunity to learn and develop. A common phrase is "your only as strong as your weakest member" and that couldn't be more true. Give those players who may not be your superstars the opportunities to grow into great footballers themselves and your team will be better off for it

It's a Kids Sport
We have to remember as coaches that our players are still learning, the referees are still learning, and us as coaches are still learning. There ARE going to be mistakes during the game from all involved but we must remember that these things will happen and can be prevented through encouragement but also mistakes usually continue if there is negativity
